The cardboard cup respects the environment
The advantages of the disposable paper cup are numerous. Beyond the recyclable aspect compared to plastic products, this type of cup allows for use as a hot or cold drink in any way.
Cardboard is a material formed from plant cellulose fibers.
It comes in the form of thick sheets glued together to obtain thicknesses and resistances
more important. Cardboard is also biodegradable and recyclable. The PE film remains an essential element in the manufacture of the cardboard cup to ensure the watertightness and hygiene of the cup.
Cardboard cup: the new marking
There is a new marking on cardboard cups following the regulations of July 3, 2021. This regulation requires the marking in particular of cardboard cups which contain plastic. In the case of the cardboard cup, it is the interior PE film allowing the transport of liquid which is concerned . In July 2024 the regulations will impose mandatory engraving marking. The signage pictogram is in the form of a logo often called "turtle logo" because the basis of this regulation aims to protect the marine environment which is the main victim of plastic waste. This logo is also called the “SUP” logo for Single use Plastic.
