Non-woven fabrics: the different qualities of material
There are several qualities of non-woven towels available on the professional market. The best known and most widespread is made from a material called "Airlaid." This texture offers a good finish, durability, and wiping quality. However, attention must be paid to the weight (grams per square meter), as it comes in several weights ranging from 50 g/m² to 60 g/m².
The other major benchmark on the market is Lintstyle, originally manufactured by Lotus Professional (now Tork) . The material is produced using a different process than traditional Airlaid, giving it a much softer feel and therefore a less grainy texture when wiped (known as dry lay manufacturing). The Lintstyle range of non-woven towels is now part of the Tork brand since the acquisition of the Lotus Professional division by the Essity group, which owns the Tork brand .
Finally, the premium brand is Duni, with its Dunilin and Dunisoft napkins bearing the OK Compost and FSC labels, demonstrating Duni's strong environmental commitment across all its product lines. Duni remains the benchmark in non-woven napkins and tablecloths, with unparalleled expertise.
The manufacturing of the non-woven towel
Most napkin manufacturers are primarily "processors" who purchase raw materials from manufacturers. Consequently, several napkin brands (and this applies to rolls as well) sometimes share the same source for these non-woven materials, as there are few sources in Europe. Each brand may then have specific napkin colors and require a particular shade. From these rolls, the remaining steps include cutting, sometimes printing for designs, and of course, packaging.
Non-woven materials: Airlaid, Dunilin, Linstyle
The most common material is Airlaid, with a weight ranging from 50 to 60 g/m² depending on the specifications. Then there are manufacturers such as Duni offering very high-end products like Dunilin, which remains a benchmark in the professional world.
With the acquisition of Lotus, Tork has ensured the continuity of the Linstyle range, with its unique feel and softness when drying. The Tork Linstyle non-woven towel is available in classic colors as well as new, trendy colors that will allow you to stand out.

The unique packaging solution features transparent packaging to showcase the color and perforations for easy opening. The Tork Easy Handling package transforms into a ready-to-use display.
This is why Linstyle non-woven pads have the look and feel of fabric but are made of a different material than what Duni or Airlaid products offer. They are significantly softer and thicker than standard wadding pads, and also very absorbent .
