What is a hydroalcoholic gel?
The hydroalcoholic gel or hydroalcoholic solution exists and has been used for several years in the health sector. Its usefulness is to be able to maintain a level of hygiene in cases where hand washing is not possible either for reasons of frequency (number of washings per day) or for reasons of practicality (absence of point of water).
A hydroalcoholic gel is mainly composed of alcohol
which gives it its disinfection properties
Purpose of the hydroalcoholic gel
The purpose of a hydroalcoholic gel is therefore to ensure hand disinfection in addition to hand washing
but should in no case replace it. We must therefore continue to implement hand washing protocols.
Deb has developed a hydroalcoholic foam system which makes it more pleasant and bearable (in terms of skin tolerance) than a conventional hydroalcoholic gel.
This Instant Foam hydroalcoholic foam comes in several formats and in particular that of a self-service station
which can be placed at the entrance of the reception.
Why use hand sanitizers in the workplace?
Hands are the main vector for the transmission of germs.
Scientists estimate that 80% of infections are transmitted by the hands
. This therefore involves hand to hand contact, but also contact with common objects: telephone, elevator buttons, door handle, keyboard, ramps, distributor of all kinds ... etc 70% of people do not wash their hands
or use only water after visiting the toilet at their workplace. Cross-contamination between employees can lead to an increase in absenteeism.
Reality in figures
Good hygiene rules can save money.
21 independent studies carried out at international level show that compliance with good hygiene rules contributes to the reduction of illnesses, absenteeism and related costs of around 40%.
It costs little to encourage those who represent your biggest investment - your employees - to have good hygiene.
Providing your organization with a hand sanitizer costs only a few cents per person per day.
Hydroalcoholic foam or gel?
Hydroalcoholic gels or foams are the products of choice for hand disinfection in the workplace. Although gel products have been available on the market for several years, it has been shown that disinfectants delivered in foam form are more effective
More efficient and better spreading
Tests conducted by an independent laboratory have shown that Deb Instant Foam is
10 times more effective than the same gel product. The foam spreads instantly relative to the gels due to the alveolar structure of its bubbles and the wettability of the interstitial liquid.
