Understanding the nomenclature of floor scrubbers at Numatic
The name of each Numatic floor scrubber has a specific meaning, indicated by letters and numbers, which we will explain below. Once you understand this, you will be better able to identify which Numatic scrubber you are referring to when comparing models.
Numatic towed or non-trailing floor scrubber
The Numatic range of floor scrubbers is divided into several "self-propelled" models , indicated by the "T" symbol for traction, and "non-traction" models. The Numatic self-propelled floor scrubbers are driven by the wheels . This may be necessary for heavy machines, large areas to clean, or slight inclines.
Conversely, Numatic models without traction on the wheels will have to be pushed, but the rotating action of the brush or disc of the scrubber will considerably reduce the pushing effort and will often be sufficient for most maintenance.

Numatic scrubber dryers are
powered either by cable or battery . Numatic is increasingly integrating
lithium batteries, even on the new
ride-on scrubber dryers in the NX1K and NX300 ranges, for more compact models like the 244NX.
Numatic cable scrubber dryers are distinguished by the reference suffix "TTG" (Example TTG1840, TTG6650, TTG4045...) which are connected via a cable varying from 20 to 25 meters to a standard electrical supply, and Numatic battery scrubber dryers incorporate the letter "B" for battery in their reference suffix ( example: TTB1840, TTB3045, TBL4045; TGB4055 ...) which are autonomous but must be recharged every 2H30 to 4H00 depending on the scrubber dryer model and the power of the batteries.
It's clear that a Numatic cable-driven scrubber dryer is cheaper to buy and maintain, but less convenient (cable management). Generally, these scrubber dryers are chosen for small to medium-sized areas and when the investment budget is limited.
The choice of a Numatic battery-powered scrubber dryer will be made more in cases where a cable is not possible (cluttered surface, large surface, lack of outlet...) and where autonomy is the rule.
However, a battery-powered floor scrubber will have less power, which is necessary to preserve battery life. This is because, with a corded floor scrubber, the power consumption is not limited by the power supply.
