Swimming pool water is a privileged environment for the development of micro-organisms that can present a risk for swimming. In addition, as they develop, they will make the water cloudy and the walls slippery, leading to the risk of accidents.
Traditional chlorine process
Swimming pool product based on chlorine treatment : Traditional and economical disinfection process. Chlorine tablets are placed in the skimmer or in the return dosing device. These swimming pool chlorine tablets slowly decompose in the swimming pool water, generating hypochlorous acid. In this treatment case, the chlorine level in the swimming pool must be checked daily with chlorine / pH / Bromine testers. In the event of a significant chlorination defect, you can quickly rectify it by using shock chlorine, which comes in powder form and is placed directly in the swimming pool water, and thus quickly raise the chlorine level. This is generally done at the beginning of the season, after intensive use of the swimming pool or in the event of high heat and storms. Using a chlorine stabilizer will allow you to limit this loss. Be careful not to add too much chlorine stabilizer because your swimming pool would then be "overstabilized", which is not the desired objective.
Automatic chlorine and pH dosing
Chlorine can also be in the form of liquid chlorine . The chlorine is then injected by a dosing pump such as a peristatic pump, one pump for the chlorine and another for adjusting the pH. In this case, pH minus is used in liquid form in a 25 or 30 liter canister intended to be placed under the Chlorine pH dosing device.
Probes placed at the circulation level allow the chlorine and pH concentrations to be measured.
In this case, manually checking the chlorine and pH levels is a priori useless if your dosing system and especially your probes are working properly. This is often the case, but to avoid any unpleasant surprises (a machine is just a machine), a periodic check will allow you to ensure that the chlorine pH dosing system and the associated probes are working properly.
Salt electrolysis
Salt electrolysis pool product : This process generates sodium hypochlorite, rich in active chlorine, by simple electrolysis of the pool water which will be slightly salty. The device must work on the discharge pipe as close as possible to the pool in the technical room so as not to damage the other equipment. It is a powerful disinfectant.
Active oxygen and bromine
Swimming pool product based on active oxygen : active oxygen is odorless, in liquid or solid form, it is disinfectant and algaecide. It makes the water soft and pleasant.
Bromine-based swimming pool product : This halogen, a natural disinfectant, is extracted from saline sources. Bromine is remarkably effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi and for the oxidation of impurities present in swimming pool water. Bromine is effective thanks to its very high-performance bactericidal power and its ability to regenerate, this principle, which requires a dosing device, forms disinfectant hypobromous acid on contact with water. Bromine is gentle on the skin and eyes, and prevents unpleasant odors. Bromine remains effective at high temperatures.
