Rope sliding ladders. The extension length then varies from 6.90 m to 17.55 m for working heights varying from 7.8 m to 18.45 m for 3-section sliding ladder models.
For 2-section sliding ladders, the extended length varies from 4.95 m to 11.95 m for respective maximum working heights of 5.85 to 12.85 m.
Ladders that can be converted into 2 or 3 sections. These ladders can be used in 3 positions for the 3 sections and 2 positions for the 2 sections. The positions for the 2 sections are: the V-shaped position as a freestanding ladder and as a single support ladder. For the 3 sections, the third section can be deployed in a freestanding position.
Telescopic ladders These ladders can be used for several purposes: as a single ladder, self-supporting or on uneven ground.
Several important points on the safe use of ladders.
The inclination. The inclination of the ladder is crucial. Too inclined, it presents a risk of slipping to the floor or wall. Too vertical, and the ladder will easily tip backward with its user.

Legal framework and use of a Centaure Duarib scale
Standards and decrees on ladders and scaffolding
Concerning standards, decree 2004-94 precisely defines the safety rules relating to the use of equipment for temporary work at height.
The EN 131 standard concerns portable ladders and stepladders.
PIRL NF P 93-353 and PIR NF P 352 standards for individual rolling platforms.
NF EN 1004 standard for professional rolling scaffolding.
Tips for using Centaure Duarib ladders:
For proper use it is advisable to follow these recommendations.
Before each use:
It is important to check the condition of your ladder before each use, i.e.: the uprights, rungs, runners, connecting parts, mechanisms and ropes.
Positioning of the plans:
For sliding ladders, it is the first plan to be raised which must be placed on the ground.
Tilt your ladder correctly:
To ensure your safety, the inclination of your ladder is very important. If the ladder is too inclined, it will slip, and if your ladder is too vertical, it will tend to tip backward. To have an optimal inclination, the minimum inclination must be approximately 65° and the maximum inclination 75° .
For your safety on a ladder:
When you are on the ladder, please leave at least 3 rungs free in front of you, so that these rungs serve as a guardrail. Lean the ladder firmly against a stable surface and make sure it is firmly supported.
If your ladder has multi-planes, make sure they are properly engaged.
Carefully respect the maximum load capacity of the ladders.
Details on the use of Centaur scales:
Ladders must be a means of access and not workstations , this is the role of scaffolding and work platforms. Except for simple access, the use of ladders is tolerated:
- if no other means with guardrails can be used due to technical impediments.
- or if you meet the following conditions simultaneously: low risk, short-term work and non-repetitive work.
