Concept Light develops 100% French UV disinfection
Concept Light, based in Niederhergheim, created the compact SterilUV.
The portable device allows all surfaces to be sanitized in seconds. It has just been tested at the Maison des Têtes in Colmar.
Founded in 1994, Concept Light develops solutions for
lighting, sound and video.
Since 2017, she specializes in invisible lighting by UV Led. The Concept Light design office realized that combining
three types of ultraviolet rays (A, B and C) would allow
optimum disinfection .
UV to disinfect in four seconds
Explanations from Victor Vincentz: "
UVC Led will penetrate the heart of bacterial or viral structures in order to damage the
nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and thus inactivate them. The trilogy, formed by ultraviolet A, B and C will serve as a catalyst in the neutralization of microorganisms.
Our interlocutor insists on the ecological character of this process which does not use any chemical substance.
This research has been scientifically proven.
The
CNRS tested the action of UV in the field of viruses (including Covid-19) and the
Barrand laboratory did the same for bacteria such as
Staphylococcus aureus or Escherichia coli .
The Alsatian family company, which is part of the Vincentz group, has set itself the goal of imagining new manufacturing techniques "to push the performance of UV LEDs even further." She is also a member of the innovation health center at BioValley France (67).
