Professional maintenance products

For cleaning and disinfecting floors and surfaces

The biggest brands of cleaning products

For 45 years, Voussert has offered a wide range of professional cleaning and maintenance products from leading brands such as Diversey, Anios, Exeol, Christeyns, Jex, St Marc, Taski...
Buying and using a professional cleaning product is not without risk. Indeed, the hygiene products available to consumers in supermarkets are designed for use by "laypeople" and for domestic purposes . Consequently, the active ingredients in these cleaning products are often diluted, logically to minimize the risk of use.
Professional cleaners will offer formulations with stronger active ingredients to meet the cleaning, stripping and disinfection needs in communities, hospitals, industry, catering, nurseries, gyms...

Professional maintenance product and regulations

Using a professional cleaning product: methods and standards

In the kitchen, the objective is to comply with standards such as HACCP or disinfection standards in order to ensure the safety and hygiene of everyone in a community setting.

The use of this type of product will require guidance through application protocols for some of them. Using a formulation intended for professionals and applying it under unsuitable conditions can, beyond simply failing to achieve the desired results , endanger the user's health. It is therefore essential to carefully review the technical data sheets, safety data sheet, UFI code, hazard logo, pH of the cleaning product , and any relevant recommendations. Voussert offers you the benefit of its expertise of over 45 years to advise you on product selection and the implementation of appropriate methods.

Cleaning and ecology: Ecolabel, Nordik Sawnn, Ecocert

To address the risks of sometimes highly active formulations, manufacturers have in recent years turned to products that meet the Ecolabel standard , reducing risks for users as well as the environmental footprint.
It is therefore strongly recommended to choose today cleaning products that meet recognized ecological labels such as Ecolabel, NordiK Swann or Ecocert.
Furthermore, under the labor code, employers are required to assess the risks to the health and safety of workers for any activity likely to present a risk of exposure to dangerous chemical cleaning and disinfection agents (Article R4412-5 of decree no. 2008-244 of 07/03/2008).
Taking these risks into account has led employers to be ever more demanding with regard to the products they buy (DUERP Single Document for the Evaluation of Occupational Risks).
This naturally leads communities and professionals today to turn to Ecolabel cleaning products and/or cleaning products without CLP and without hazard logos, thus greatly reducing the responsibility of the client in the event of an accident.

Biocidal product regulations and disinfectant cleaning products

As of January 1, 2025, regulations concerning the sale and use of biocidal products within the context of professional cleaning products will apply. An individual certificate is required for the professional use and distribution of certain types of biocidal products intended exclusively for professionals.
The Certibiocide is an individual certificate that is mandatory in these cases:
- Buyer of Biocidal Cleaning and Disinfection Products - User - Distributor
This concerns certain types of biocidal products exclusively reserved for professionals (excluding those used exclusively in a production or processing procedure).
The Certibiocide is valid in France for 5 years and is renewable.
Please note that the Certibiocide certificate is not an accreditation . It is important to understand that there is no company accreditation for the service sector that includes the application of biocidal products. However, there are:
- A voluntary CEPA certificate
- A requirement to declare activity on the website https://certibiocide.din.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/
Voussert has trained staff with Biocide Certification to better advise you with expertise on professional disinfectant cleaning products.

The risks and your choice of cleaning products, the responsibilities

Many cleaning products are now used without the necessary personal protective equipment. Using oven cleaner without goggles, gloves, or a mask will automatically place the employer at risk should the user suffer an injury as a result of using the product.
The first safety measure, as you will have understood, is to choose products with an Ecolabel and/or CLP-free. This will significantly reduce the risk.
In the event that you need to use a product outside of this range, you should prioritize products from recognized brands and, above all, carefully consider the method and protective equipment recommended by the manufacturer.
The use of professional cleaning products also requires training and usage protocols. In areas such as kitchen hygiene, implementing the HACCP method is now mandatory.

A closer look at UFI codes from January 1, 2020/2021

With the evolution of the classification of raw materials, the number of classified mixtures increases and poison control centers are overwhelmed by the number of declared trade names, particularly linked to the massive use of private label brands.
In order to improve the identification of mixtures, the new Annex VIII in connection with Article 45 establishes the creation of UFIs, unique formulation identifiers, which will facilitate the work of the CAPs (Poison Control Centers).
What is a UFI code?
A Unique Formulation Identifier that must appear on the label of products containing a hazardous mixture. It is a 16-character alphanumeric code.
How will it be used?
Affixed to the label of the finished product and declared via SYNAPSE, it will be used by poison control centers to identify without risk of error the product involved in an incident and thus provide the correct first aid advice.
From what point does the UFI become mandatory?
By January 1, 2021 for professional products
By January 1, 2020 for consumer products.
