ATEX type 22 vacuum cleaner

Some devices benefit from the Atex classification. The ATEX (Explosive Atmospheres) regulation is based on 2 European directives 99/92/EC and 94/9/EC which have been mandatory since July 1, 2003 in all member states of the European Community. All manufacturers, distributors or users of devices in explosive atmospheres must imperatively meet the health and safety requirements of these ATEX Directives . An explosive atmosphere is defined as a mixture between air and atmospheric conditions of flammable substances in the form of gases, vapors, mists or dusts, in which after ignition, combustion extends to the entire unburned mixture.

Example of dust: metal dust, flour, etc.

The devices must bear the standardized ATEX marking.
