Why use a food stick?
The use of food stick meets the hygiene requirement in cooking and restoration but not only.
Its use is also widespread in environments where bacteriological proliferation is a sensitive element.
The emergence of the Haccp protocols required having tools including the food brush, which the user was able to demonstrate the maintenance in perfect hygienic condition.
This means that we must be able to justify the proper maintenance and non-proliferation of bacteria on the tools used.
It soon became apparent that the wooden handle could not meet these requirements.
The food bag has therefore made its appearance with choices of materials more suited to an environment such as cooking, food industries, medical fields ... etc.
The materials of the food stick
The most common material is aluminum, which is of interest to be stainless, easily washable and therefore a guarantee of cleanliness in terms of germ and be light to use.
A colored tip at the handle will identify areas in which this or that handle will be used. We will see later what is the interest of this "color coding".
The most affordable versions will have just the colored end handle (Series 5406 ...), a handle diameter of 25 mm and a length of 140 cm.
The ergonomic aluminum handle will be 32 mm in diameter, 150 cm long and with the complete high part coated with polypropylene (PPN) reinforced with fiberglass that allows to have both hands on a cold insulating material (Series ALU7054150 .. ).
Another material is fiberglass which allows the handle to be very light and very resistant. Fiberglass can withstand long periods of cleaning.
It also has the advantage of being sterilizable by autoclave to ensure perfect hygiene.
Here too there are two versions.
The handle whose major part is actually fiberglass and or the handle and the screw tip are "reported" (Series 7050250 ...).
The other version is the monobloc fiberglass reinforced PPN handle which is the ultimate in design to guarantee perfect hygiene. Indeed, no insert so no risk of location or roughness conducive to the development of bacteria (Series 7050250 ...). This is the "Rolls" of the food stick.
Insulation of cold contact.
As you will have seen, the higher the requirement and the higher the security, the higher the range of products chosen.
