When to choose wired power supply?

A floor scrubber allows you to clean and strip washable surfaces and dry them simultaneously thanks to a suction system upstream and/or downstream of the scrubbing brush. Unlike a single-disc scrubber , a floor scrubber will therefore leave a dry surface. Choosing a corded power supply is a more economical and less restrictive option than a battery-powered machine. However, this requires having regularly spaced power outlets and relatively unobstructed areas to avoid awkward handling. The advantage of a corded system is also the greater power of the scrubbing and suction motors.

Choosing cable power: the alternative when battery power is not needed

What power supply for my scrubber dryer?

A scrubber dryer can be powered by cable or battery .
On this page you will find the models of cable scrubbers from the 3 brands Numatic , Nilfisk Alto and Taski .
Choosing cable power has advantages and disadvantages compared to a battery-powered scrubber dryer. First of all, the price of a cable scrubber will be 20 to 35% less expensive to purchase than the same battery machine. Secondly, the cable power supply allows greater power development and therefore benefits from greater torque on the brush motor (rough or energy-intensive floors) and more powerful suction . The consequence is that the machine will of course be noisier.
The only and main disadvantage is the lack of “freedom” of movement that a battery scrubber dryer can provide. This point must, however, be balanced by the fact that in 90% of cases this disadvantage does not exist given the layout of the premises and the presence of numerous electrical outlets.

What size scrubber should I get?

The performance of the scrubber dryer is characterized by its working width which, to summarize, could be compared to the width of your mower. The wider the mower, the less I will have to go back and forth and therefore the higher my output will be. In the case of the scrubber it is exactly the same principle. In fact the invariable parameter is the forward speed which is walking. You can then decide to run behind the machine but this is not necessarily the best idea...

Size (and therefore bulk) is the second criterion. Do I have room to maneuver? Is my surface clear or cluttered? It is these two criteria which will determine the choice of model. Finally, it is obvious that the budget is an important parameter which can determine the choice.
