Battery Types and Power

To date, a large proportion of floor scrubbers are designed and supplied with gel batteries that are maintenance-free. However, you have to be careful because there are also classic lead batteries that are cheaper to buy but require tedious daily maintenance.
It is also possible on some scrubber dryers to choose the power and therefore the battery life. It will then be necessary to check the amperage in Ampere Hour (Ah). The voltage can be 12 or 24 volts.
Case of Li-Ion lithium batteries: These batteries are subject to specific storage and transport conditions.

Li-Ion battery, one battery for several machines

The advantage of the new generation of Li-Ion batteries is their reduced size, making it possible to offer compact and autonomous scrubber dryers such as the Taski Swingo 150 or the Numatic 244NX.
The battery used on the Taski range is compatible with several devices including the Taski Aero BP backpack vacuum cleaner range, the swingo 150 but also the Taski aero UP. A single battery model can be adapted to a wide range of equipment to simplify fleet management.

Maintenance and recommendations on the use of batteries.

Taski scrubber dryers are supplied without batteries and some without chargers. You should therefore plan for these additional options.

The entire range of current Numatic battery-powered scrubber dryers is equipped as standard with maintenance-free gel batteries to ensure the highest possible level of safety and convenience.
Quality batteries and a suitable charger are components that will determine the lifespan of your equipment.
But understanding the rules for using and storing batteries helps you optimize and extend the performance of your machine.

Tips on using batteries

1 - Never leave your machine unloaded.
2 - Fully recharge the batteries after each use, regardless of the length of time the machine is used.
3 - If the machine is not to be used for a period of 30 days or more , isolate the batteries by removing the fuses or disconnecting them.
4 - During periods of prolonged storage, recharge the batteries every 3 months (*) and the day before putting the machine back into service. (*) The fuses will be replaced during charging.

Special case of Li-Ion batteries

Storage of Li-Ion batteries requires special attention.
Li-Ion batteries should be stored in a protected, dry area, away from any direct heat source and out of direct sunlight.
It is best not to exceed 35°C. In any case, the storage temperature should never exceed 50°C.
Li-Ion batteries must be stored away from accidental shock, which could cause fires with serious consequences.
