The IP index has two figures, how to understand?

- The first digit represents the level of protection of the dry hand against solid objects (ex.IP: 2 1)
- The second digit represents the level of protection of the dry hand against liquid elements (ex.IP2 1).
For installation in volume 2:
-IPX Minimum 3 (flexible phone). For installation in Volume 3:
-IPX Minimum 1 (extension cord, the hand dryer must not enter in Volume 2).

First number: protection against solid objects

IP0X -no protection
IP1X -protected against foreign bodies> 50 mm (ex.contact hand)
IP2X -protected against solid objects> 12.5 mm (ex.doigt hand)
IP3X -protected against solid objects> 2.5 mm (ex.outils, screws)
IP4X -protected against solid bodies> 1 mm (ex.petits tools son)
