Manual Hand Dryer

Economical, but attention to high traffic

Electric hand dryer how to choose?

Automatic or manual hand dryer

The choice of electric hand dryer is linked to the target users to whom it will be dedicated (restaurant, community, office, etc.) and especially the daily passage in front of the electric hand dryer.
A manually operated hand dryer remains the most economical solution for low traffic areas.
In fact, unlike the electric hand dryer with automatic triggering, you avoid several potential problems including the untimely triggering of the cell or the breakdown of this cell.
In fact, the device is triggered by pressing a push button, which is mostly mechanical.
On the other hand, you should definitely not place this type of device in a high traffic area, because repeated pressure (or punching) on the button will lead to its destruction.
The other disadvantage is the contact of the hands with the device which is not a guarantee of hygiene. Therefore, low attendance and daily maintenance will also remedy this disadvantage.

IP index.
The IP rating has two digits. See all IP rating standards.

The IP index has two numbers, how to understand them?

- the first number represents the level of protection of the hand dryer against solid bodies (e.g. IP 2 1)
- the second number represents the level of protection of the hand dryer against liquid elements (eg IP2 1).
For installation in volume 2:
-IPX 3 minimum (flexible device). For installation in volume 3:
-IPX 1 minimum (extension cord, the hand dryer must not enter volume 2).

First digit: protection against solid objects

IP0X - no protection
IP1X - protected against solid bodies >50 mm (e.g. hand contact)
IP2X - protected against solid objects >12.5 mm (e.g. finger)
IP3X - protected against solid objects >2.5 mm (e.g. tools, screws)
IP4X - protected against solid objects >1 mm (e.g. small tools, wires)
IP5X - dust protected (no harmful deposits)
IP6X - fully protected against dust

Second digit: protection against liquid bodies

IPX0 - no protection
IPX1 - protected against vertical drops of water
IPX2 - protected against water drops up to 15° from the vertical
IPX3 - protected against water drops up to 60° from the vertical
IPX4 - protected against splashes from all directions
IPX5 - protected against water jets from all directions (water lance)
IPX6 - fully protected against splashes (similar to sea water)
IPX7 - protected against the effects of immersion
IPX8 - protected against the effects of prolonged immersion
