Grating Carpet

Modular rubber grating or in rolls

The different types of rubber gratings

Grating refers to a honeycomb mat generally used outdoors to either remove large dirt or to ensure walking on a difficult path.
It is found in particular in ski resorts to provide an access path, but also in exterior staircases, walkways, entrance halls, etc.
The gratings, depending on their thickness, can also be placed in pits provided for this purpose.
The gratings can be joined together using connectors, but be careful to assemble gratings of the same thickness and, if possible, of the same structure to avoid any breakage which could cause them to fall.

Rubber grating mats

The ideal solution for industries, professional kitchens and communities

Rubber grating mats are a recurring choice in industries, professional kitchens and communities due to their many beneficial properties. Whether to ensure worker safety, improve hygiene in kitchens or facilitate drainage in collective spaces, rubber grating mats are a versatile and effective solution.

Advantages of rubber grating mats

Rubber grating mats are appreciated for their strength , durability and ease of maintenance. They are made from high-quality rubber, which gives them great robustness and a long service life. In addition, rubber is a material resistant to chemicals, wear and extreme temperatures, making it an ideal choice for demanding industrial environments.
In addition, rubber grating mats provide excellent grip , reducing the risk of slips and falls. They feature a textured surface or special patterns that improve traction, even in wet or greasy conditions. This makes them a perfect choice for professional kitchens where safety is paramount.
Another major benefit of rubber grating mats is their drainage ability. Thanks to their grating structure, they allow water, liquids and debris to easily flow through the holes , keeping the surface clean and dry. This is especially important in industrial environments where liquids or chemicals may be spilled regularly.

Rubber grating and the LOGC9400024A Handicap standard

The LOGC9400024A standard now requires establishments receiving the public to set up easy access, more specifically concerning gratings and mats.
“holes or cracks in the ground must have a diameter of less than 2 cm”
- Legal obligation for establishments receiving the public.
Our disabled-friendly gratings comply with the LOGC9400024A disabled-friendly standard.
- Beveled edges to allow the passage of shopping carts and/or wheelchairs, and reduce the risk of tripping (except reference M67 intended for installation in a pit and MR12 in rolls).
-Very resistant, the MR12BB and M67 gratings are ideal for passages with heavy traffic.
- Non-slip and draining thanks to its suction cup sole, the disabled standard grating makes it possible to secure slippery passages.
- Made of 100% rubber, it is rot-proof and UV-resistant. It can therefore be used indoors and outdoors.
- Lightweight and easy to install.

Uses of rubber grating mat in industries

Rubber grating mats find many applications in industries. They are widely used in work areas where a non-slip and durable surface is required. For example, in factories, warehouses and workshops , rubber grating mats are used for workstations, loading areas, walkways and access ramps.
In the chemical and petroleum industries, where chemicals and oils are commonly used, rubber grating mats provide additional protection against slip and fall accidents . Their chemical resistance ensures that they remain intact even in the presence of corrosive substances.
Additionally, rubber grating mats are also used in the catering and hospitality industries, particularly in professional kitchens. In these environments where hygiene is paramount, rubber grating mats make cleaning easier by allowing liquids and debris to drain easily. They also provide a non-slip surface to ensure the safety of chefs and employees.

Uses of rubber grating mats in communities

Rubber grating mats are also widely used in communal areas such as parks, playgrounds and swimming pools . Their drainage capacity makes them an ideal solution for keeping these areas clean and safe.
In playgrounds, rubber gratings provide a cushioning surface that reduces the risk of injury from falls. Their non-slip texture and water-wicking ability make them a safe and practical option for children.
In swimming pools, rubber grating mats are used around the pools to prevent accidental slips and falls. Their resistance to chlorine and UV rays makes them suitable for outdoor use, even in harsh weather conditions.

Maintenance and cleaning of the grating carpet

The maintenance of your grating mats must follow the manufacturer's recommendations but as a general rule this can be done simply by removing them (or not depending on the location) with a high-pressure cleaner and the help of an outdoor broom with sufficiently rigid fiber to scrub the rubber.
In most cases it may be unnecessary to use a detergent, but if cleaning the carpet requires it, you should instead use a neutral detergent-type cleaner or a solvent-based cleaner if the carpet is soiled by greasy compounds (oil, etc.).
The advantage of dismantling is that it allows you to see damaged tiles or parts and replace them.

Choosing the rubber grating mat

When looking for rubber grating mats, it is essential to consider certain criteria to choose the best option for your specific needs. Here are some important points to consider:
Structure and thickness of the grating
Rubber grating mats are available in different structures and thicknesses. The structure of the grating determines the drainage capacity, strength and traction of the mat. Be sure to choose a structure that is suitable for your specific application.
The thickness of the grating is also important , as it determines the impact resistance and comfort. For work areas where increased resistance is required, opt for thicker rubber grating mats.
Size and shape of the carpet
Rubber grating mats come in a variety of sizes and shapes to fit different spaces. Carefully measure the area where you want to install the mat and choose the appropriate size. You can also find modular rubber grating mats that can be assembled to cover large areas.
Material quality
Always opt for high-quality rubber grating mats. Look for reputable manufacturers who use durable and strong rubber. This will ensure the durability and performance of the mat in the long run.
Facility
Make sure to choose rubber grating mats that are easy to install and maintain. Some models can simply be laid on the floor, while others may require more complex installation.
