Cable lengths: 10, 15, 20 or 25 m
The cable length determines the area that can be covered without needing to reconnect to the power supply. With a 25m cord and a 2m flexible extension, the operator has a reach of 27m—approximately 500m² of coverage from a single outlet. This is standard on the Numatic Henry XL, NVR, and NQS models. On compact models (Hetty, GD930), 10 to 15m is sufficient.
Cord with or without automatic rewind
On professional models, the cable is generally manually wound: more robust and quicker to repair. Automatic reels of the domestic type are rare in professional settings because their mechanisms break down easily. For high-traffic fleets, manual winding is preferable.
Replacement procedure
The replacement is within the capabilities of any technician: open the engine cover, disconnect the two wires at the terminal block, remove the cable gland, install the new cable, and reconnect. Our technical department provides the wiring diagram with the part. To identify the length and type of the original connector, check the markings at the vacuum cleaner tank inlet or consult the manufacturer's manual.
Compatible cable: savings and equivalent quality
Our compatible cables use HO5VV-F copper, 3G1.0 or 3G1.5 depending on the motor power, with a reinforced, abrasion-resistant PVC sheath. They are CE marked and the same length as the original parts. Average savings: 30 to 40% compared to the manufacturer's cable.
