The low-speed polishing operation is carried out on a clean, waxed floor. First, damp-mop with impregnated cloths to remove any dust. The white or beige pad is then used with a single-disc machine, between 150 and 500 rpm, either dry or with a spray method. This process restores a pronounced shine and a lasting "wet look" effect to the floor. For large areas, the operation can also be carried out with an automatic scrubber-dryer equipped with a pad holder .
The 3M Clean and Shine pad is a 2-in-1 solution designed for low-speed floor scrubbers. It cleans and polishes simultaneously in a single pass, without chemicals. It is up to three times more effective than conventional pads at removing black streaks. Reversible, it offers twice the lifespan. Compatible with vinyl, marble, terrazzo, granite, and concrete floors.
For surfaces requiring high-performance polishing, the Janex high-speed (HV) (300 to 1,500 rpm) and 3M ultra-high-speed (UHV) orange (1,500 to 3,000 rpm) discs are specifically designed for spray polishing . They produce a high-gloss finish on protected floors and are used exclusively with high-speed or UHV single-disc machines.
