Sorting in the kitchen with which colors?

Selective sorting has become an obligation and kitchen areas are no exception.

There are now a wide range of bins in different volumes from 30 to 110 litres to handle the different waste streams that can be found in catering.

You can choose just the different lid color or the entire trash can color in one of the 4 sorting colors: red, green, blue, yellow.

This color approach makes it possible to address the concept of selective sorting but also possibly a concept of hygiene zone in association with color codes used on food brushes and washcloths .

Choosing the volume of the sorting bin

The range of kitchen bins designed for selective sorting is available in several volumes to meet the requirements of space and volumes of waste to be received.
The 30 litre bin is the most compact bin with a reduced footprint of less than 45 cm in height allowing it to slide under furniture or low worktops.
If you have more height with 60 cm, the 45 litre bin remains a good compromise.
The 60/70/90 litre volumes require a larger space but will guarantee greater autonomy for waste collection.

Kitchen trash can: contactless, hygiene above all!

This entire line of trash cans is of course equipped with a foot-operated opening mechanism to avoid any contact between hands and the trash can.
Hygiene remains a central concern, particularly in the kitchen, which remains a sensitive place by nature.
Cleaning and disinfecting the trash can must be done regularly as part of the Haccp procedures set up for the establishment. This operation can be carried out using a cleaning center combined with a disinfectant detergent.

And food sorting: disposable tableware, paper, food...for the public?

Selective sorting in restaurants with the management of the various waste generated during table service and/or in fast food is now an important trend and has become mandatory for large restaurant chains.
There is no doubt that making available to the public systems for collecting the various waste streams in public or private catering areas will be the benchmark.
