What is spunbond?
Spunbond is a nonwoven fabric made from continuous polypropylene filaments. The molten polymer is extruded into thin filaments, stretched, then laid into a sheet and bonded by heat and pressure. The result is a lightweight, strong, tear-resistant, and breathable material.
Spunbond is used in many fields, from personal protective equipment to packaging. In tablecloths, it has gained popularity thanks to its strength-to-price ratio: it is available in rolls, placemats and tête-à-tête sets.
Spunbond, airlaid or Dunisilk: what are the differences?

To cut a roll to the correct length, allow the length of the table plus 20 to 30 cm for overhang on each side.
14 coordinated colors
Fourteen colors are available in rolls, sets, and individual napkins: white, ivory, black, anthracite, gray, chocolate, burgundy, red, yellow, orange, turquoise, kiwi green, fir green, and navy blue. You can therefore dress your tables in white and add a colored napkin or placemat, or decorate an entire room in the same shade. Other trendy colors (greige, terracotta, olive green, dusty rose, string, Pacific blue) are available in sets and individual napkins. Is spunbond water-repellent?
Yes. Liquids bead on the surface and wipe off with a sponge, which helps keep the tablecloth clean throughout a service.
Is the spunbond tablecloth reusable?
The supplier information sheets indicate that the tablecloths, placemats, and tête-à-tête sets are designed for reuse: they are wiped dry between uses. Indicate here whether machine washing is possible, and at what temperature, according to Pronappe's information.
Does the spunbond tear?
No, that's its main advantage over airlaid. It doesn't tear when you reposition the tablecloth on large tables, and it retains its strength once wet, unlike cellulose-based non-woven fabric.
How do you cut a spunbond tablecloth from a roll?
Using sharp scissors, cut along a straight edge. The material will not fray when cut. The tête-à-tête pieces are pre-cut every 1.20 m.
