Freestanding, tabletop or wall-mounted bin: what's the difference?
A wall-mounted bin attaches to a facade, post, or fence; it's the ideal solution when ground space is limited. A freestanding bin rests on a base anchored to the ground: more stable and visible, it can be placed freely in a park, square, or parking lot. A portable bin is a self-supporting structure that can be moved for a market or event and then permanently fixed in place. In areas prone to vandalism, always opt for a four-point ground anchoring system.
What capacity for which space?
To choose the right container size, you first need to know the potential daily foot traffic. This traffic will determine the volume to be collected as well as the number of bins to be installed.

Steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel, recycled PET or resin: which material is best for the environment?
UV-resistant, corrosion-resistant powder-coated steel (Arkéa, Urbanet, Bella, Cybel) is suitable for most urban applications and is available in anthracite, cement gray, metallic gray, manganese gray, black, and red. It is the most widely used material by manufacturers, notably Rossignol. The Corten steel effect blends well with landscaping and historic centers. In coastal areas , particularly for campsites, hotels, and restaurants with terraces, opt for marine-grade 316 stainless steel (Cybel Extrême), which resists sea spray and salt ; 304 stainless steel is sufficient for urban environments. Rubbermaid resin waste containers (Landmark, Ranger) are lightweight, rust-resistant, and UV-treated. They are therefore also suitable for salty or UV-exposed environments. Rossignol Zeus and Olympe waste bins incorporate concrete for maximum stability and long-term durability.
