Can you put an aluminum tray in the microwave?

Yes, it's possible; our aluminum containers, once packaged, can withstand microwave waves by simply following a few guidelines:
1 - Remove the metal lid from the aluminum container before use.
2 - Place the aluminum container in the center of the turntable in the microwave. Note that for metal turntables, it is absolutely essential to place a ceramic or glass plate under the container.
3 - The container must not touch the walls of the microwave under any circumstances (minimum distance 2 cm)
4 - Only put one aluminum container in the microwave at a time.

Can it be put in a conventional oven?

YES, without restriction up to 220°C. This is the main use of food-grade aluminum: long cooking times, gratinating, browning.

Can it be frozen?

YES. Aluminum withstands negative temperatures perfectly. The "preparation - freezing - oven cooking" process is one of the main professional uses of this type of container.

Is aluminum recyclable?

What's the difference with a plastic tray?

Aluminum is intended for oven cooking and freezing; plastic (microwaveable polypropylene or cold-grade APET) is intended for takeout with microwave reheating or for cold serving. Aluminum is 100% recyclable; plastic is sorted separately.
