Bona Traffic HD Raw two-component varnish

Bona Traffic HD Raw protects hardwood floors while preserving the look and feel of the wood. Unlike traditional varnishes, the surface protected with Bona Traffic HD Raw feels more like raw wood.

Technical data:

Product: Two-component, water-based polyurethane finish
Solids: Approximately 32%
Gloss (at 60°): Approximately 4% (on glass)
Mixing ratio: 1 part hardener to 1 litre of Traffic HD Raw or 0.41 L hardener to 4.54 L of Traffic HD Raw (approx. 8% by volume)
Shelf life: Max. 3 hours at 20°C (less at higher temperatures)
Dilution: If necessary, dilute with Bona Retarder (4%) to extend open time.
Drying time before:
- Overvitrification: approximately 2-4 hours*
- Light traffic: 24 hours*
* Under normal conditions (20°C/60% relative humidity).
Application Tools: Bona Microfleece or Polyester Roller (11mm nap)

Application:

1. Shake the varnish can and add the contents of a bottle of hardener. Without waiting, shake the mixture vigorously for 1 minute, then insert the filter provided. If you are mixing small amounts of polish, pour the appropriate amount of polish into another container. 1 liter of varnish is used with a volume of hardener. 2 liters are used with two volumes, etc. This varnish/hardener mixture must be used within 3 hours at the latest.

2. Apply Bona Traffic HD Raw using a Bona roller. Use smooth movements by passing the roller in the direction of the grain of the wood, then in the opposite direction, to avoid product accumulation. Always maintain a “wet boundary” to avoid overlapping. Allow to dry sufficiently before applying further coats. Allow slightly more drying time for each additional coat of varnish.

3. If necessary, carry out intermediate sanding using a grid or Bona Scrad System P150 grit (or finer) and remove dust before applying a final coat of varnish. Note: If the last coat of varnish has dried for more than 24 hours, intermediate sanding is still necessary.

The floor will be able to withstand light traffic after 24 hours, but the surface will remain susceptible to scratches and stains until it has fully cured. Total curing time is approximately 7 days. Wait until the surface has completely hardened before covering it or cleaning it with a damp mop.
