Instructions for use:
The surface to be treated must be well sanded, dry and clean, free from sanding dust, oil, wax or other greasy substances.
The final sanding should be done with 120 grit (or finer).
The best results will be obtained using a single-disc floor machine.
Application:
Shake the container well before use (or when preparing small quantities).
Define a section of 3-5 m², start with the edges, applying the varnish with a brush (never do all the edges at once), then use a roller for water-based varnish, and follow the grain of the wood.
Apply evenly, avoiding any accumulation of product (puddles).
Move on to the next section, while remaining on top of the previous one, working "wet on wet", until the entire surface of the soil has been treated in this way.
After applying the first coat, proceed if necessary to sand with a 150 grit screen disc, or even finer.
Vacuum, wipe with a damp cloth to remove any traces of dust, then apply the second coat.
Let it dry, if possible overnight.
Proceed to apply the final coat of varnish.
NOTICED :
During the application and drying of the product, the temperature must not fall below +13°C.
Bona "Parquet Varnish" has been successfully tested on oak, beech, pine, and other European wood species. To ensure the compatibility of Bona "Parquet Varnish" with dense parquet flooring, parquet flooring rich in tannins or oils, or even chemically treated parquet, a preliminary test is recommended.
After 8 hours of drying, it is possible to walk carefully on the treated parquet floor.
The freestanding furniture can be put back in place after 72 hours (with felt pads).
During this time, walk carefully on the parquet floor. You will need to wait a week until the varnish is completely dry and has reached its maximum hardness.
After this period, the carpets and other furniture can be put back in place.
