Bona Amber is a water-based, 100% polyurethane primer. It can be applied to all types of wood before finishing with a Bona water-based product.
Bona Amber combines the color and intensity of traditional oil-based products, while having a low VOC content.
- Dries quickly (1-2 hours)
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Minimizes the risk of lateral sticking
- Compatible with most types of wood.
Preparation:
The surface to be treated must be well sanded, dry and clean, free from sanding dust, oil, wax or other greasy substances.
Use the Bona Scrad System, or a single-disc machine and an abrasive disc of 120 grit or finer for final sanding.
Instructions for use:
Shake the container well before use, place the supplied filter in the neck of the bottle, then pour the product into a tray for roller application. Apply evenly, avoiding any pooling (puddles). For deeper color or if the floor is unevenly colored, a second coat of Bona Amber can be applied. See page 2 for the application diagram.
Both coats will be applied on the same day, followed by light sanding after the second coat has dried.
NOTICED :
- During the application and drying of the product, the temperature must not fall below +13°C.
Bona Amber has been successfully tested on oak, beech, pine, and other European wood species. To ensure the product's compatibility with dense parquet flooring, parquet rich in tannins or oils, or even chemically treated parquet, a preliminary test is recommended.
