Black bitumen varnish
- Anti-rust, anti-acid, anti-humidity protection.
- Can be used on metals, concrete, cement, brick, asbestos cement.
- Specially formulated for the protection of open-air elements: roofs, bridges, factory chimneys, metal frames, scaffolding, machine chassis, agricultural equipment, tank exteriors, etc.
- Also used for waterproofing concrete walls: applied in a thin layer, it forms a continuous film which seals the opening of the capillary channels of the treated material and prevents water penetration.
- Apply with roller, brush or paintbrush.
- Cleaning the equipment with white spirit.
- Coverage: 8 m2 per liter per layer depending on the porosity of the support.
Instructions for use of bitumen varnish
1) Remove all traces of moss, rust or old paint.
2) Degrease the support.
3) Allow to dry completely.
4) Apply the black bituminous varnish to surfaces that are absolutely clean, dry and dust-free.
5) Treat your surfaces with Spado pure bitumen varnish, in one or more coats depending on the degree of protection desired.
6) The bituminous varnish, after drying, forms a black film which remains flexible.
7) Drying is strongly influenced by ambient temperature and humidity. Dust-free: 2 hours. Between 2 coats: 12 hours. Complete drying: approximately 24 hours.
Bituminous tar
Fields of application
-Anti-rust, anti-acid, anti-humidity surface protection specially formulated for exterior buried materials.
- Black viscous liquid. Apply with roller, brush, squeegee or brush.
- Can be used on metals, concrete, brick, asbestos cement, foundations, basements, etc.
- Soluble in most organic solvents.
- Dries very slowly.
- Cleaning the equipment with white spirit.
- Coverage: 3 m2 per liter per coat on porous support.
How to use it?
Remove all traces of moss, rust or old paint. Degrease the surface using Spado Acidic Floor and Roof Detergent.
Application
Apply the bituminous tar to surfaces that are absolutely clean and dry.
Treat your surfaces with pure bituminous tar, preferably in 2 coats.
Soothe the product 24 hours before application, in case of cold.
Slow drying: 24 to 48 hours, which may vary depending on atmospheric conditions of temperature and humidity.
