Here are the different qualities of tablecloths that exist on the professional market.
Duni quality non-woven tablecloth
Duni quality, and more specifically Dunicel, is the thickest and highest quality disposable tablecloth available. Dunicel is a heavy, opaque material weighing 140 g/m² to perfectly drape your tables and buffets. With a textile drape, it is also very durable. Available in several lengths, colors, and patterns. Dunicel quality is also available for napkins.
Standard non-woven tablecloth type Walkisoft
There are also non-woven or non-woven tablecloths that are commonly found. Here too, we are not dealing with paper tablecloths but with a texture close to the textile finish. The most widespread standard non-woven is more particularly known under the names Celisoft, Airlaid or Walkisoft has a grammage between 55 and 60 grs/m2 which is a sufficient quality for everyday receptions but is not comparable to the Dunicel quality which represents the "premium" quality with a grammage 2.5 times higher.
Duni Dunisilk non-woven tablecloth +
Dunilsik tablecloths meet the needs of waterproof disposables. The Duni Dunisilk+ tablecloth quality is a 130 gr/m2 non-woven fabric, therefore already very thick and covered with a layer of propylene . This makes the tablecloth waterproof and wipeable, which allows it to be maintained throughout the duration of the service.
Spunbond tablecloth
Spunbond is a nonwoven (non-woven) material made from continuous synthetic fibers , usually polypropylene. It is part of the continuous filament nonwoven family. Spunbond was known but was used to make rolls, tablecloths, placemats only a few years ago. The manufacturing process of spunbond involves extruding molten polymers through spinnerets to form fine filaments. These filaments are then stretched and cooled to form continuous fibers. The characteristic of spunbond is that it is more tear-resistant and water-repellent, therefore wipeable if necessary.
Paper tablecloth
Paper tablecloths (roll or placemat) are the best choice for occasions that need to combine practicality and economy.
This is the most common quality used to make 30x40 placemats and tablecloths in different sizes (Example: 60x60, 80x120...etc).
The weight is generally 60 g/m2.
In most cases, paper tablecloths are made from recycled wadding. The texture can be smooth or embossed to give the paper a textured appearance.
