JVD, a French manufacturer based in Rezé, near Nantes, designs and produces 40,000 hand dryers annually for businesses, local authorities, restaurants, schools, and healthcare facilities. More economical and environmentally friendly than paper dryers, JVD hand dryers are available in two technologies and around ten different ranges to suit every restroom. Find JVD in our range of professional hand dryers at factory prices.
JVD high-speed hand dryer: dries in 10 to 15 seconds
Exp'Air, Stell'Air, Copt'Air, and Sup'Air project a powerful jet of air, following the same philosophy as Dyson devices that dry hands in seconds. They are designed for high-traffic areas, with options such as a bactericidal filter, a water collection tray, or a heating element.
JVD hot air hand dryers: quiet and robust
Master, Tornade, Zephyr, and Ouragan dry with hot air in 20 to 30 seconds. Quieter and more comfortable, they are suitable for hotels, offices, and poorly heated restrooms. Master and Tornade, equipped with an induction motor, can withstand heavy use.
How to choose your JVD hand dryer?
To choose the right appliance from the JVD range, you need to consider four factors: the frequency of use in the restrooms, the acceptable noise level, the risk of vandalism, and the room temperature. JVD has designed a range for every situation. JVD prices are generally much higher, up to twice as high, than equivalent appliances imported directly from Asia. The argument of local after-sales service and "Made in France" can justify this price difference for models actually assembled in France. Indeed, part of the JVD range is distributed through resellers and therefore imported with JVD marketing for a standardized product.
Forced air or hot air?
The high-speed hand dryer dries twice as fast and consumes less energy : it's the ideal choice for high-traffic areas. The warm air hand dryer is quieter and more pleasant in a cold room. To combine the two, the Airwave and Copt'Air S models combine high-speed air with a heating element, which activates automatically below 25°C for the Copt'Air S. The JVD high-speed range includes models assembled in France and models imported directly from Asian manufacturers, such as the Airwave. Voussert also offers an equivalent to the Airwave with its references 412001 / 61683 and 61682. Therefore, be wary of "French Touch" claims, as they don't apply to the entire JVD range. We detail the countries of manufacture in the "Origin" section.

Comparison of JVD hot air hand dryers
JVD has historically offered a line of automatic hot air dryers that operate in a traditional manner. Hot air hand dryers are distinguished by a much lower air velocity, which must be compensated for by a temperature effect. This is the key difference between forced air and hot air dryers : in one case, it is the air velocity that removes the water, and in the other, it is the temperature that dries the water.

JVD offers its range in several colors and with warranties of up to 7 years for some models. As explained in the previous paragraph, not all JVD products are assembled in France, and beyond the components imported from Asia, some models are entirely manufactured and imported from Asia, such as the Airwave and the Ouragan, for which Voussert offers identical alternatives at factory-direct prices.

The key features of JVD hand dryers
Made in France
As mentioned previously, a large proportion of JVD hand dryers are designed, assembled, and tested in Rezé, Loire-Atlantique. Many are entirely manufactured within a 200 km radius. JVD is Ecovadis Gold certified. This certification is only relevant for non-imported units, which have a counterpart in the Voussert range of high-speed hand dryers.
Anti-vandalism and durability
Impact resistance is measured using the IK rating: an IK10 appliance can withstand an impact of at least 5 kg. Aluminum (Copt'Air, Master), stainless steel (Copt'Air), or steel (Ouragan) covers offer the best resistance.
Hygiene and accessibility
The Exp'Air and Stell'Air models feature a bactericidal copper filter and a water collection tray that keeps the floor clean. Their front opening makes them suitable for people with reduced mobility and children. The Kids packs for the Exp'Air and Sup'Air include an educational plaque to teach children proper air quality.
More economical and more ecological than paper
As with most devices using Dyason pulsed air technology, a hand dryer is up to 10 times cheaper than paper towels in high-traffic areas. With no consumables required, it also eliminates waste, storage, and deliveries. Recent models contain 25% recycled plastic, and up to 54% for the Zephyr Bio, made from scallop shells. Our comparative study on the subject, in terms of both energy consumption and contamination, clearly illustrates this comparison between disposable paper towels and pulsed air hand dryers .
