All about class B road de-icing salt, 10 kg bag

Description

Shop entrance, school steps, driveway, or a few parking spaces: this de-icing salt quickly secures the most frequented areas as soon as the first frost arrives. This 10 kg bag of rock salt can be carried with one hand, stored in a utility closet or car trunk, and opened only when needed, without waste.
Packaging in 10 kilo bags is an essential element to limit the carrying of heavy loads and easier distribution.

Salt is used preventively , the night before sub-zero temperatures are forecast, to prevent ice from adhering to the ground, or as a treatment after scraping, to melt a layer of packed snow or ice. Its medium-sized grains are easily spread with a shovel, measuring cup, or small hand or push spreader .

It is aimed at shopkeepers , medical and paramedical practices , nurseries and schools , building caretakers , tradespeople , guesthouses and small accommodations , as well as individuals who must clear the sidewalk in front of their property. It is worth noting that in many municipalities, residents are required to make their sidewalks passable as soon as the first snowfall or the appearance of black ice occurs.

Kept dry, it retains its effectiveness for 2 to 3 winters: an extra bag prevents you from being caught unprepared on the day the shelves are empty.

Advantage of the 10 kg road snow removal bag:

- Compact size : lightweight, easy to handle without assistance or a trolley
- Space-saving storage : fits in a utility room, cellar, or safe
- Known yield : up to 1,000 m² treated preventively per bag
- Dual use : before the freezing weather or after snow removal

- Fewer falls : reduces the risk of slips in front of your establishment
- Compliant with NF EN 16811-1 : European standard for road de-icing agents

Instructions for use

First remove the snow with a shovel or a snow pusher, then spread the salt evenly.

  • Preventative : approximately 10 g/m², i.e. a small handful per m².
  • Curative : approximately 20 g/m² on scraped surface.
  • In brine (curative) : dissolve 2 kg of salt in 8 liters of water, wait until the salt is completely dissolved, then spray. The action is faster and consumption is reduced.

Below -10°C, the action of salt slows down: in this case, opt for a de-icer based on magnesium or calcium chloride. Do not overdose, to protect nearby plants and soil.
