The 3 automatic diffusion technologies
Programmable aerosol (Prodifa, JVD, Rossignol...)
The most widespread technology relies on a pressurized aerosol inside a programmable unit. The device triggers a spray at regular intervals, adjustable to three or four intensity levels. This is the most economical solution to purchase, with a very wide selection of scents available from Prodifa, whose historical expertise lies in this area. JVD and Rossignol also offer similar ranges, but these are extensions of existing product lines and are not manufactured in-house at their factories.
Rossignol specializes in metal products (trash cans, outdoor ashtrays , urban spaces), while JVD focuses on electric hand dryers . This hand dryer is suitable for spaces ranging from 15 to 180 m³: restrooms, offices, and waiting rooms. Its main drawback is that the refill contains a propellant gas and needs replacing more frequently than other technologies. Many dispensing systems exist, but many are compatible with each other. The aerosol nozzle should be checked.
The Rubbermaid TCell type fuel cell
Rubbermaid's refill system integrates its own fuel cell directly: no separate batteries are needed within the device. Dispensing is continuous and consistent over a chosen period (30, 60, or 90 days), without any complex programming. It's a reliable solution for high-traffic areas requiring minimal maintenance, in the same volume range as the aerosol dispenser (15 to 180 m³).
Nebulibox aerosol-free nebulization (large volume)
For large spaces, Prodifa offers the Nebulibox range: a cold nebulization system that projects fragrance in the form of dry vapor, without propellant gas. Compact design, silent operation, programmable time slots and intensity adjustment via remote control or front panel: this technology targets high-end establishments (4-5 star hotels, spas, lounges) and covers from 200 m³ (Nebulibox mini, from €137.70 excluding VAT) to 1000 m³ (Nebulibox medium, from €275.40 excluding VAT).
Complete diffuser or simple refill: which should you buy?
Before ordering, a simple question can help avoid a common purchasing mistake: do you already have a diffuser installed, or are you starting from scratch? If you're equipping a new site, you'll need a complete diffuser (control unit + first refill). If a device is already in place, you'll generally only need to purchase a compatible refill; there's no need to replace the entire system.

Aerosol refills are not universal: each brand (and sometimes each model) uses a proprietary format. A Prodifa refill will not fit in a JVD diffuser, and vice versa. Before ordering, therefore, check the brand and model of your device, as well as the cartridge size (150, 250, 300, or 400 ml depending on the range).
