Comparison of the jumbo dispenser with other dispensers
Small roll toilet paper dispenser
This is the standard small roll that is found in many communities when the use of sanitary facilities is individual and no longer collective.
Example: hotels, clinic rooms or retirement homes, but also private individuals.
Note that these small rolls contain fewer than 130 sheets per roll for consumer products, compared to 180 or even more than 200 sheets for professional products. So be careful when comparing prices.
Of course, the major disadvantage of this system compared to the jumbo or mini jumbo dispenser is that the cost of consumables can quickly skyrocket... On the other hand, its undeniable advantage compared to a jumbo dispenser is its compactness, its less "community-oriented" design and higher quality paper.
Compact toilet paper dispenser
Lotus developed a concept where the toilet paper roll no longer has a core but is "harpened" onto a plastic axis integrated into the dispenser. This system was adopted by Tork when Tork acquired Lotus's professional division. Tork T7 and Tork 8 therefore offer an alternative to the jumbo roll with this compact toilet paper system.
These dispensers only accept Tork compact rolls but offer a large number of advantages: significantly greater autonomy, no waste (no core), a dispenser with a reservoir to prevent stockouts, less storage space required, and easier transport.
In terms of cost, this system falls between a small-roller system and a jumbo system, which in either case remains the most economical on the market. However, it offers the advantage of more stylish, less bulky dispensers and higher-quality products. For areas with medium to moderate traffic, the Tork T7 and T8 compact systems remain a cost-effective solution.
What material should I choose for a jumbo dispenser?
There are several types of materials: epoxy painted steel, polished or brushed stainless steel, or recycled or non-recycled plastic.
The choice will be dictated by several factors, such as the frequency of use and the type of location. If you are a public institution, choosing a robust dispenser made of steel or plastic is generally the right choice. In areas subject to humidity, such as swimming pools, spas, or near sea air, it is preferable to opt for plastic.
Finally, if your location is a restaurant, a hotel, or a place whose purpose is to project a high-quality image, stainless steel or brushed stainless steel models will fit perfectly into your environment.
