The different types of low-speed single-brush machines
There are several types of machines , each dedicated to a specific area of use. Most have a drive between the motor and the trigger , where the plate or brush is attached by a belt . This type of drive can handle most stripping, cleaning, low-speed spraying, etc.
On the other hand, as soon as the work requires a higher torque , you will need to move towards equipment with gear drive , such as the Taski Ergodisc HD single-brush machine or the Numatic NRS1500 single-brush machine equipped with a torque regulation system.
Single-brush machine for intensive work
Numatic offers a specific machine for intensive work with the NR1500S model. This model features an ATC torque regulation system to maintain constant power. This feature makes it a widely appreciated machine for construction workers where the types of soil encountered vary greatly in terms of roughness and surface condition.
Furthermore, across the entire Numatic range, the power transmission between the motor and the plate (or brush) is via planetary gears, providing unmatched capacity and reliability. The new Taski Ergodisc HD single-disc machine also features a planetary gear drive and weighs just 54 kilos. It also offers a solution for intensive scrubbing work.
What type of work can be done with a low-speed machine?
Its main purpose is to be a multi-purpose machine. It is the all-terrain single-brush machine that can meet almost all functions. It can be used for:
Wet or dry foam carpet cleaning
Cleaning hard or soft floors
Stripping hard or soft floors
Crystallization of calcareous soils
The low speed spray method
Cleaning parquet floors
What configuration for a crystallization operation?
Crystallization work requires the use of a suitable single-disc machine. The new Taski Ergodisc HD is specifically developed for this application. Indeed, traditional crystallization requires a significant machine weight (over 40 kilos) combined with significant power transmission. These features are present on the Ergodisc HD but also on the Numatic NR1500S.
Dry or wet foam carpet cleaning
Carpet cleaning can be done with a single-brush machine in two ways: most of the time it is a "wet" carpet cleaning which does not require specific equipment apart from the carpet brush and a liquid carpet shampoo. The other less widespread method but which has the advantage of much faster availability of premises is the dry foam method. To date, the leading machine in this field is the Taski Ergodisc 165 or Duo single-brush machine on which you must adapt the Taski foam compressor which has been a benchmark on the market for several years. You will then need to take the dry foam carpet brush.
